Clancestry is presented on the lands of the Yuggera and Turrbal peoples. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Queensland and pay our respects to Elders past and present — the storytellers, song-keepers and dancers who carry culture forward.

Always was, always will be, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land.

The festival

An extraordinary celebration of First Nations storytelling, music, dance, art and culture — at QPAC.

Across ten days, Clancestry brings powerful music experiences, bold contemporary performance, family-friendly works and deeply personal storytelling to the stages and forecourt of the Queensland Performing Arts Centre.

The Festival Ground on the Cultural Forecourt is free and open to all — live music, markets, workshops, cooking on coals and a Welcome Ceremony to open the festival. Inside, ticketed performances span circus, dance, theatre and headline concerts.

Cultural Forecourt · 31 Jul – 2 Aug

The Festival Ground is free

Three days of live music, markets, kids’ activities, weaving, native-floral workshops and bushfood cooking on coals — open to everyone, no ticket required.
